I love listening to music when I run, and having my cute little Sansa Clip Zip makes it even better because I hardly notice I'm using an mp3 player (I really should write a review of this product. Maybe I will!). Anyway, it's easy to get tired of hearing the same old songs every time I run, so I try and change up the music once a month or so. Here are 5 of my current favorite running songs, in no particular order because I can't rank them by how much I love them. The links will take you to YouTube videos of each song.
1. "Princess of China" by Coldplay. For some reason I am OBSESSED with this song. I play it about 3 or 4 times a day, which means it inevitably gets stuck in my head. There's no deep meaning or anything; it's just a fun little ditty.
2. "God is Enough" by Lecrae. Lecrae is a Christian hip hop artist, and he is the bomb diggity, yo. (I am so white.) I also listen to this song obsessively. It's an awesome running song. Go listen to it. You won't be sorry!
3. "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" by Coldplay. I know, another Coldplay song, but I just bought their Mylo Xyloto album recently because Amazon had it on sale for $0.25! Best quarter I ever spent. ("I shut the world outside until the lights come on/Maybe the streets alight, maybe the trees are gone/I feel my heart start beating to my favorite song.")
4. "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele. I love me some Adele, and this is my favorite Adele song. I think my good bloggy friend Andrea really likes this one, too. (Hi, Andrea!) I don't really know what this song means (besides the typical angsty Adele my-life-was-ruined-by-a-boy stuff), but I would love to know how one goes about setting the rain on fire. That would be awesome.
5. "Start Over" by The Afters. The lyrics in this song are so great and encouraging, especially when trying to push through a workout. ("The impossible is possible/But your fear is so responsible/for keeping you down,/keeping you down...You only fail/If you never try/You'll never live/Tryin' not to die.")
Now I must know: what are YOUR favorite workout songs? I'm always looking for new music!

Friday Five: Charlotte's Favorite Songs
Well, my intentions of posting every day this week did not become reality. Blogging time just gets away from me! But I did want to take a moment to write about Charlotte's love of music. She's loved music from early on, and it cracked us up the first time she "danced" to a song. She likes to bob up and down and also move her hips side to side, and it is pretty much the cutest thing ever. It's so interesting to me that dancing in that regard is instinctive because we didn't teach her that; her body just heard the music and responded. She's had a her share of songs she's liked, so here are her top favorites, some current, some from her younger day (as if she's so old now!)
1. "Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee." I think this is her current favorite. We have a DVD of kids' songs, and she just grins hugely when this one comes on, and she will do her signature dance moves. She also is learning the motions because she is a genius.
2. "The Ants Go Marching." She used to REALLY love this one, and it was the one way we could get her to smile for a picture when she otherwise wouldn't. It was also great for distracting her while we changed her diaper.
3. "Hush Little Baby." This was the first song we noticed Charlotte respond to. I used to sing it to her, and if she was fussing sometime she actually would go silent and listen to me. It also helped her go to sleep. I still sing it to her sometimes if she's upset.
4. "Scrub-a-dub dub." What's that? You don't know this song? Well, that's because I made it up. I frequently make up little songs for Charlotte, and this is one that stuck. I sing it to her every time I give her a bath, and she'll grin and sometimes clap when I sing it (because my voice is amazing). The lyrics are deep, so prepare yourselves:
5. "The Numbers 6 Song." This is also an Erin original, and it's based on the blessing found in Numbers 6:24-26: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace" Isn't that beautiful? I often sing this to Charlotte as I put her to bed at night. I like to think it helps calm her.

Getting herself all clean.
So we scrub and we scrub in the tubby tub tub,
'Til she's finally squeaky clean.

Friday Five: Charlotte's Hair
Some babies are born bald or even with a slight peach fuzz. Not our Charlotte. She came out of the womb with a full head of hair, and she didn't lose any of it! It just keeps growing and growing, and I think a haircut of some sort is her near future. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Charlotte's ever-changing hair:
1. The punk rocker (that expression is just priceless):
2. Beautiful in a bow (this is the bow the nurses put on her in the hospital):
3. Bed head:
4. Rocker chick:
5. Pretty in a ponytail:

Friday Five: Happenings this Week
Clearly blogging happens more regularly if I'm able to schedule posts in advance, as both of my entries this week were actually written on Sunday. It is hard to find time during the week to blog, but I miss it as well. Here's a little of what's happening around our house:
1. Charlotte has a million more teeth. Okay, so maybe not a million, but whereas she just recently had 6, it now seems she has at least 9, if not more. It's hard to get a good look in her mouth without her putting up quite the protest.
2. I've woken up by 5:30 at the latest every day this week. Yeah! I'm so excited to start the Hello Mornings Challenge on Monday.
3. I got a great deal on a 2-month YMCA membership ($20, through a local deal site, SnagMob). The reason I bought it? ZUMBA! They also have spinning classes, which I've wanted to try for a while. I'm thrilled to try out the classes!
4. Charlotte's had a cough for over a month. It was a cold that turned into bronchiolitis, and we've given her breathing treatments 3 times a day for the past 8 days. She's still coughing, though. :( We're going for a checkup this afternoon, and I'm curious to see what the doctor says. Charlotte's been such a trooper and hasn't acted like she's felt too bad until this week. I think it's really starting to wear on her. I just want my baby to be healthy! She's been to the doctor practically every month of her life, and while I am SO thankful that it's only been for relatively minor things, I hate it for her.
5. I really wish Charlotte were older so we could go see Beauty and the Beast in 3-D. That is my all-time favorite Disney movie, and I know she would love it. Fortunately, we own it so I'll be able to watch it with her some day. :)
I hope you all have great weekends! Tell me something good that's happening!

Friday Five: Favorite Classic Christmas Songs (Updated)
I realized as I was getting ready to post this that I'd already done this very topic back in 2009! However, I think I would change the list a little bit now. Here are my current favorite Christmas classics:
1. "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." Still my favorite, and SCC's version is still my favorite.
2. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." I just started to fully appreciate the words of this song this year. I love Bethany Dillon's version of this song. It has a jazzy flair.
3. "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day." Still love MercyMe's version of this one, but Casting Crowns has a nice interpretation as well.
4. "O Holy Night."
5. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Friday Five: Things I'm Celebrating
(I realize I haven't done a Friday Five in approximately 1.5 years or some such ridiculous time span, but it's never too late to begin again!)
1. I'm wearing pants I haven't worn since being pregnant.
2. I'm at 183.2 pounds.
3. My baby girl has 2 more teeth, making the total teeth count 4. She currently has 1 on top and 3 on the bottom, and I hope she gets another on top soon so she won't look goofy. Not that she could ever look goofy because obviously she is the cutest thing ever. Here she is attempting to leap off the recliner. (No worries, Stephen was holding her).
4. It's payday. As Stephen said this morning, "Payday is yay day." :)
5. It's almost Thanksgiving, which means time with Stephen's family in Illinois and time off work!

Friday Five: The Spring Edition
Things I love about spring:
1. Easter. It’s such a meaningful holiday. I love celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
2. T-shirts and flip flops. Need I say more?
3. March Madness. I’m no sports fanatic, but I love filling out a bracket (or two or three) and following the games. This year Stephen and I both filled out "serious" brackets, and then we also filled out one using coin tosses to decide who would win each game. I am sure that bracket will be completely ruined after the first round. Hehe.
4. The brown and gray of winter is replaced with the green of spring. I love the way the sky and the ground seem to just come alive in the spring.
5. Cadbury Eggs. Yummy goodness. I actually have yet to have one of these yet because I just want ONE, not a package of them, and I can't find them sold individually!

Friday Five: Random Facts About Me
1. I am left-handed. Hooray for southpaws!
2. I have probably mentioned this before, but cutesy spelling drives me nuts. I love a good Krispy Kreme donut every now and then, but why can't it be spelled correctly?? I have a feeling people would still eat the donuts.
3. I love flipping pancakes. It took me a while to master this, and I still mess up, but for the most part, I am a pretty awesome pancake flipper. It's all about the kind of turner you use.
4. I have a terrible habit of picking my nails. I don't bite them, but I will start picking them and sometimes not even realize I am doing it.
5. Using "ur" for "you're" or "your" annoys me (and I even had a student use it in a paper once). It's not like "you're" or "your" are long words, so there's no need to make them shorter! In my opinion, texting is going to be the death of English grammar.
Any random facts you'd like to share about yourself?

Friday Five: The Careers Edition
I'm bringing back the Friday Five! Feel free to post your own list, too!
What I Wanted to Be When I Grew Up
1. A writer. I started writing poems and stories in the fourth grade (Thank you, Mrs. Fisher!), and I thought it would be amazing to make a living being a writer. I knew I'd be a famous novelist someday.
2. Marine biologist or dolphin trainer. My love of dolphins also began in fourth grade, and I could think of nothing more wonderful than getting to study them and be with them in the water. Sadly, I hate science and have no desire to live in a wetsuit. :)
3. Teacher. My brother and I used to play "school" when we were little, which basically consisted of me being bossy and telling him what to do. That pretty much sums up our early relationship. I was quite obnoxious, I'm sure.
4. Fashion designer. I laugh at this a LOT now because I have no sense of style whatsoever, but I used to spend many an afternoon drawing sketches of clothes and dreaming of having my own clothing line.
5. A singer. Oh, how I wanted to be a singer! I would sing with my hairbrush for hours and hours. Mariah Carey had nothing on me. Ha.
What did you want to grow up to be?

Friday Five: Things I Love about Fall
Fall is my favorite season, and here's why:
1. I love the way the leaves change and dot the landscape with bursts of color.
2. I love that I get to wear sweaters and cardigans and hooded sweatshirts.
3. I love the crisp air in the morning and the cooler temperatures.
4. I love the crunch of leaves under my feet.
5. I love sitting in front of the first fire of the season, drinking hot chocolate.

Friday Five: Quotes from The Office
Last night was the sixth season premiere of The Office, and in honor of that, I'm listing some of my favorite quotes. This was almost an impossible task because there are fabulous quotes in pretty much every episode, but here are some that are memorable to me. "That's what she said" does not make the list because, well, it's obvious. :)
1. Michael Scott: "Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject, so you know you are getting the best possible information." I actually used this quote in a handout I gave to my students about the pitfalls of using Wikipedia as a source.
2. Andy Bernard: “I am a great interviewee. Why? Because I have something no one else has. My brain. Which I use to my advantage, when advantageous.”
3. Michael: “Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I don't know... I sing in the shower. Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me. No, don't sue me... that's the opposite of the point I'm trying to make.”
4. Dwight Schrute: “When my mother was pregnant with me, they did an ultrasound and found she was having twins. When they did another ultrasound a few weeks later, they discovered, that I had resorbed the other fetus. Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.”
5. This is an exchange between Jim and Dwight, possibly one of the best ever:
Dwight: Welcome to the Hotel Hell. Check in time now. Check out time is never.
Jim: Does my room have cable?
Dwight: No, and the sheets are made of fire!
Jim: Can I change rooms?
Dwight: No, we're all booked up. Hell convention in town!
Jim: Can I have a late check out?
[pauses]
Dwight: I'll have to talk to the manager.
Jim: You're not the manager...even in your own fantasy?
Dwight: I'm the owner....co-owner. With Satan!
Jim: Okay, just so I understand it...in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
Dwight: But I haven't told you my salary.
Jim: Go.
Dwight: Eighty thousand dollars a year!
Honorable mentions:
Dwight: “Once I’m officially regional manager, my first order of business will be to demote Jim Halpert. So I will need a new number two. My ideal choice? Jack Bauer. But he is unavailable. Fictional. And overqualified.”
Michael: “I love inside jokes. I'd like to be a part of one some day.”

Friday Five: Gilmore Girls Quotes
For this week's Friday Five, I've chosen five quotes from my favorite TV show of all time, Gilmore Girls. There are a lot of quotes to choose from, but I picked ones that really stuck out to me. Enjoy!
1. Spoken by Paris about a student she's tutoring: "She's got a C average which means she's either lazy or stupid. I can work with either. Frankly sometimes stupid is easier. I can scare the stupid out of you, but the lazy runs deep."
2. Lorelai: Huh. You know what I just realized? Oy is the funniest word in the entire world. I mean, think about it. You never hear the word oy and not smile. Impossible. Funny, funny word. Poodle is another funny word.
Emily: Please drink your drink, Lorelai.
Lorelai: In fact, if you put oy and poodle together in the same sentence, you’d have a great new catch phrase, you know? Like, “Oy with the poodles already.” So from now on, when the perfect circumstances arise, we will use our favorite new catch phrase.
Rory: Oy with the poodles already!
Lorelai: I’m telling you, it’s knocking “Whatcha talking ’bout, Willis?” right out of first place.
3. Paris: "I can't help it. Any way I look at it, I'm right."
4. Sookie: I am so sad...and mad. I'm smad.
5. Jess: "Great, then we can hold hands and skip afterwards."
Honorable mentions
Paris: "I don't see anyone here who shouldn't be sterilized immediately."
Lorelai: "Copper boom!"
Luke: Rory's not here yet.
Lorelai: Then you'll have to entertain me until she arrives. Okay Burger boy, dance.
Luke: Will you marry me?
[Lorelai is taken aback]
Luke: Just looking for something to shut you up.
Logan: Rory, you're special.
Rory: Like "stop-eating-the-paste" special?
Lorelai: "The plural of cul-de-sac is culs-de-sac? That doesn't even sound like English."
Rory: "That's because it's French."
Okay, guess I should have just done a top 10.
If you're a fan of Gilmore Girls, what are your favorite quotes? If you're not a fan, I am sad for you, but feel free to share any other memorable quotes. :)

Friday Five: Words I Can't Spell
I consider myself to be a fairly decent speller, but there are certain words that always trip me up. These words are ones I have to stop and think about (and sometimes Google) before I write/type them. None of them are terribly difficult, but as I was making this list I realized I have issues with words with double consonants.
1. Occasion. I always want to spell this as "occassion."
2. Vacuum. This word doesn't have a double consonant but double vowel, and yet I always want to stick an extra "c" in the word.
3. Recommend. The way I remember this one is to break it down: "re" and "commend."
4. Committed/committee. Whereas with the other words I want to add a consonant, with these I want to take a consonant away.
5. Rhythm. I know this doesn't fit in the double consonant category, either, but there are no vowels!
Do you have trouble with any of these words? What words do you always have to check for correct spelling?

Friday Five: The Fruit Edition
This post brought to you by the tasty fruit in my fridge. :) One thing that wasn't hard to do once I started trying to lose weight was eat fruit. I can't say the same for veggies, but I love fruit and enjoyed it even before changing my eating habits. If I am craving something sweet, I often will eat some fruit as a way of satisfying that craving without sacrificing my health. Fruit is tasty, portable, and for the most part requires little in the way of preparation. Basically, it's perfect.
Here are my favorites:
1. Grapes. I could eat grapes every day and never get tired of them. Green grapes, red grapes, I don't care. They are delicious.
2. Nectarines. There is almost nothing like a sweet, juicy nectarine (unless I'm eating grapes instead). I also think it is a beautiful fruit.
3. Strawberries. Strawberries are best when they are fresh, but we buy frozen sometimes as well. I used to eat them with sugar, but now I love them just as they are.
4. Plums. I recently rediscovered my love for plums. I can't believe I forgot how good they taste!
5. Kiwis. Kiwis are kind of a pain to eat because of the skin, but I love the flavor.
Honorable mentions: Oranges and apples (Gala apples are my favorite)

Friday Five and July Goals Report
Friday Five: Favorite Power Ballads
Any child of the 80s remembers the power ballads and hair bands, and here is my list of favorite power ballads. And if some of these don't fit your definition of power ballad, then make your own list. ;)
1. Journey, "Faithfully" (one of my favorite songs of all time)
2. Foreigner, "I Want to Know What Love Is"
3. Firehouse, "When I Look Into Your Eyes"
4. REO Speedwagon, "Keep on Loving You"
5. Bad English, "When I See You Smile"
Honorable Mentions: "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon, "I'll Be There for You" by Bon Jovi, "Open Arms" by Journey
Now, my July goals...
July starting weight: 189.8
July ending weight: 188.4
LOSS of 1.4 pounds for the month
That is less than stellar. I'm not gonna lie, I'm disappointed. BUT at least I didn't gain, and I didn't stay the same. I am just frustrated, I guess.
Fitness/Health goals:
1. Burn at least 2500 calories a week. DONE. 3662 calories burned. How did I burn that many and not lose more weight?? And that only includes last Wednesday until this Tuesday. Goal 100% met for the month.
2. Run 2 miles 3 times a week. DONE. I finally pushed past the 2 mile barrier and ran 3 miles on Tuesday. Goal 100% met for the month.
3. Stay within my calorie range 6 of 7 days. For the month, I did not do well with this, but I did do well with this the last week.
4. Strength train at least 2 times a week. DONE. I finally had a week where I did this twice! Overall, however, this was the only week I achieved the goal.
Personal goals:
1. Read 3 books. 2/3 COMPLETE. I read The Time Traveler's Wife and Better Runs, but I did NOT finish the book on worry. Sigh.
2. Memorize 3 Scripture passages. FAIL. I really dropped the ball on this one. There is no excuse.
3. Organize the bookshelves. DONE. I finished this project, and I'm so glad it's done! It was not fun moving all the books around, but I'm glad they are all organized now.
4. Organize the closets, particularly the master bedroom closet. DONE.
This month was really a mixed bag, and it was a difficult month. I battled varying illnesses for the first 3 weeks, and I struggled with being depressed over my lack of a job, but I am glad that I was able to accomplish some of my goals. I wish I had done better. I only met half of my fitness goals and half of my personal goals, and I need to work on that. Perhaps I just had too many goals. Maybe I'll narrow it down to 6 goals or fewer for August. I'll post those goals on Monday.
I'd love to hear what your favorite power ballads are or what your goals for August are!

Friday Five: Childhood Books
Before I get to this week's Friday Five, I wanted to thank all of you who read and comment on my blog, especially yesterday's post. I really appreciate it and love reading the wisdom you all have to share. Thanks! :)
I thought I'd continue with the childhood theme and talk about childhood books. All of these I recall with fondness, and all of these were read by me multiple times when I was a child.
1. The Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. I loved loved LOVED this book in the fourth grade! My teacher read it to us a chapter at a time, and I was enthralled from the beginning. And when she finished reading it, I had to have my own copy, which I read over and over.
2. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I still have my copy of this book that I ordered from the Scholastic catalog (I loved getting those things!). I instantly fell in love with Anne and read all of the books in the series. L.M. Montgomery became a favorite writer after I read this book, and I soon amassed quite the collection of her works. The Emily of New Moon series rivaled the Anne books as my favorites.
3. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I remember poring over the poems in this book, delighted by the rhyme and the whimsy (although I'm pretty sure I didn't know what "whimsy" was at the time.) I also love A Light in the Attic.
4. The Ramona Quimby books by Beverly Cleary. I don't remember which I liked best, but I devoured all of the books about Ramona, as well as the Henry Huggins series. And what's not to love about a character who has a sister called "Beezus"?
5. The Anastasia series by Lois Lowry. I related so much to Anastasia. I loved that she wore glasses, as I started wearing them in the first grade and they were the bane of my existence. I also read the books in the series about her brother Sam.
Honorable mentions: Aesop's Fables, Where the Wild Things Are (there's a movie based on this book coming out in October!), The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, The Baby-sitters Club series (I think I owned almost all of the books in this series), The Little Princess.

Friday Five: Scripture
There is nothing so effective at guiding, comforting, encouraging, enlightening, strengthening, and convicting as Scripture. I turn to it often when I am in search of wisdom or peace or hope, so I thought I would share with you 5 of my favorite passages.
1. Isaiah 61:10: "I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."
2. Psalm 73:25-26: "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
3. Colossians 1:15-20: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."
4. Psalm 145. I love this entire Psalm, but here are a few verses from it: "The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them." (verses 14-19)
5. Philippians 3:7-11: "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead."

Friday Five: Blogs that Make Me Laugh
I am sure there are many more blogs that evoke laughter, but here are 5 that never fail to crack me up.
1. The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks. Users send in pictures of incorrect signage, often with hilarious or ridiculous results.
2. Apostrophe Catastrophes. This blog features grammar gaffes involving one of the most abused punctuation marks--the apostrophe--but also will post other abuses of grammar.
3. Passive Aggressive Notes. I just recently found this blog (I think I read about it from someone's Twitter post, but I don't remember whose), and it's hysterical. The tagline on the blog says it all: "Painfully polite and hilariously hostile writings from shared spaces the world over."
4. Stuff Christians Like. This blog is a take on the Stuff White People Like blog, and not only is it funny, it is often painfully on-target.
5. BooMama. If you haven't read this blog, you're missing out. Boo Mama writes of her love of the South, bacon, TV, and God (not exactly in that order) with humor and honesty. Click here for an explanation of the blog's name.

Friday Five: Memorable Childhood Movies
Well, July has been quite interesting so far. I've had a nasty cold/sinus thing since Monday evening, and therefore I have not gotten a decent night's sleep since Sunday evening. On the positive side, Stephen's parents came to visit on Wednesday, and we've had a great time shopping, watching movies, and playing Yahtzee. (I won! Woohoo! I enjoy winning.)
Anywho, this will be a quick Friday Five, so here ya go: 5 movies I watched multiple times during my childhood (which I will define as spanning from age 5-12. I can't remember much from any age prior to 5). The films are listed in chronological order, beginning with the earliest release. Obviously, since I wasn't born until 1981, I saw some of these years after they originally came out.
1. The Great Muppet Caper (1981) and The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984). Yes, these are two separate films, but I couldn't pick just one of them! I loved the muppets and adored these movies. Total classics.
2. The Tale of the Bunny Picnic (1986). Does anyone else remember this? Technically it's not really a movie because it is only an hour long and was aired on HBO, but still, I remember watching it so much I'm sure I wore out the VHS tape! I believe it's one of the few films in which a dog plays the nemesis.
3. Beauty and the Beast (1991). Oh my word, I thought Belle was me captured in animation! I just loved that she was a bookworm and cared about being smart and was loyal to her father and looked with distaste upon Gaston even though he was brawny and attractive. I remember many an afternoon when I would dance around the living room singing, "Little town, it's a quiet village. Every day, like the one before..."
4. Aladdin. I knew every word of this movie and especially enjoyed acting out "One Jump Ahead" and "Friend Like Me," and of course, "A Whole New World." I've gotta say, they just don't make Disney movies like they used to.
5. Free Willy (1993). What can I say? This girl was one huge whale lover after seeing that movie. Plus, the boy in the lead role was HOT. (When I looked this movie up on IMDB, I saw that it has increased in popularity by 266%. Could that be because Michael Jackson contributed songs on the soundtrack?)
Honorable Mentions: The Care Bears Movie (Who can defeat the "Care Bear Stare?"); The NeverEnding Story (what's not to love in a movie featuring a flying doglike dragon creature?); Snoopy Come Home (How sad is this movie?? I don't know why it was my favorite Peanuts movie, but it was.)
What movies did you watch over and over when you were a kid?
